Louis C K Witch Hunt

This post is about how I and a friend feel about some of the sexual  accusations against some of the famous people now in the news in the form of an email exchange.

First, here is  her reaction to my question and then my reply:

"... It's like Louis CK, some women have come out and accusing him so sexual misconduct. I read it, and saw that while, yes, he asked women if they would watch him masturbate, he was never their boss, he asked privately, and in at least one case, when she put him in his place, he said he was sorry and admitted he has a problem. The two women that watched him masturbate, well, they were in HIS hotel room, he asked, they didn't decline, but they didn't say yes. He took off his clothes and they sat there and watched. He didn't hold them hostage, he didn't force them in any way... so how is this misconduct? Because they didn't have the sense to get up and walk out when he started to take off his clothing??? FFS."

I'm inserting more information from my friend here after i published this post today:

"The biggest difference is that while what U.S. Senator Al Franken did was wrong, it wasn't habitual because it was part of a comedy sketch that was supposed to be rehearsed. The "victim" would not rehearse the scene. if she was that concerned about it, she could have easily said, "Hey! No tongue for this sketch." The true victims do not have the opportunity to set the conditions for the actions of their perpetrators. The Tangerine Toddler and Moore are habitual offenders.

"Interesting: "She was an adult that consented to the photo, the skit and the kiss. The photographer has come out already saying she wasn't asleep, just faking, everyone laughing and joking. She wasn't a 14yr old, and he didn't use his nonexistent power as a comedian to tell her to keep her mouth shut. She's a Trump supporter who appears in Hannity all the time."

"Because he  is a compassionate, caring, human being who does not want to cause harm to another human being. The real question is why haven't all these other men admitted they were in the wrong? But the answer to that is because they are predators and Al Franken is not."

My repsonse:

"she didn't look asleep to me in the picture although ALL THE reports on TV and internet that I have seen doin't challenge her claim htat she was and appear to be spreading the exact same story with the same exact" facts" saying that she was, which in turn shows that they are ALL NOT doing their jobs and simply plagiarizing from one another."

Back to my original post:

"more non-specific stuff is coming out on Kevin Spacey (Senator Al Franken) too. He is smart, a good actor and I thought too classy for such behavior and may be. The press NEVER point out the striking similarities between "Me Too" media campaign is quite similar to the the group of girls at the core of the prosecutions case in the Salem Witch Trials. The group of girls grew and grew and all were essentially saying, in other words, "Me Too, Me Too." Today psychologists and criminologists know it was mass hysteria and seeking attention."

So why have I not heard professionals pointing out the same about this witch hunt and helping us differentiate between legitimate complaints, crimes and hysteria? Is it because they are, but I don't tune in to the proper media? Or is it simply because NONE are? WE KNOW the mass media isn't making ANY attempt to achieve fairness and balance by interviewing ANY sociologists or  psychiatrists on the air.

I don't know and don't have the time or inclination to find why there is a seeming lack of public, open balanced discourse on this subject, which is, to me, a mirror of  500 years ago.

But 500 years ago, the Puritans had legitimate excuses: their knowledge of the human mind and their social fabric was non-existent, therefore their reaction and conduct were based totally on ignorance and superstition.

 Today we have no such excuses to allow these modern witch hunts to go on UNCHECKED, labeling everybody who has the sense of fairness, decency and respect for the law and people's rights in this country to REMAIN INNOCENT until PROVEN GUILTY. Because invariably, at least in the media everyone watches and listens to, all the people going "Wait a minute, I know this guy" are dismissed as a partisan apologist with no credibility, while the accusers en mass are given a uniform blanket of credibility, in essence been handed the the only key to the court of public opinion in this social insanity. 

It seems to me watching and reading the universal coverage on this accorded by the media. that only the accusers are given air time and uniform and total credibility with no real, intelligent, balanced challenges to their veracity, such as my friend did above in her email. 

So are the experts I'm calling to do so on not speaking  because they haven't been invited to over do so over the airwaves while the mass media as usual anoints politicians & law enforcement universal access to their opinion shaping machinery?


 Instead this grotesque circus of humanity parodies the situation in the SALEM WITCH TRIALS with THE SAME LEVEL of ignorance and superstition, 500 YEARS LATER. 

It's been said many times that our medical knowledge doubles every 10 years. I think it's safe to assume that also includes our knowledge in the disciplines of sociology and psychiatry. 

THEN isn't it time WE STAR ACTING LIKE and treating our fellow citizens like WE'VE LEARNED SOMETHING OVER THE LAST 500 years?

Finally a note on the man at the top of this sh**t pile of humanity, President "Cringe" Trump: He rails about the fake news press all the time when it is reporting negatively on him, but when It's doing a truly crappy job and spreading fake news that is critical of ANYONE else, he's all  like 'Hurray for the press, they are doing a fantastic job!'

for instance, a  President "Cringe" Trump tweet comment: "The Al Frankenstien picture is really bad, speaks a thousand words. Where do his hands go in pictures 2, 3, 4, 5 & 6 while she sleeps?"
