EFFing EBAY

 I've been a seller on Ebay for 23 years and throughout my history with them they've been changing "My Ebay" where I go to conduct my eBay business, gradually and occasionally , like was done recently, totally to the point that when i go to my selling resources pages, EERYTHING I used to use IS GONE and I'm bewildered & can't accomplish anything that I set out to do when I logged on.

Such was the case this week when I found all of the content of my panels on my "seller Hub" missing and replaced by an empty panel or things i had no idea of what they were!

At this point I'll note that at the top of my old seller hub page were things lik e'selling (current page),"account", "store" etc. which I rarely used and sub categories under those headers.

so upon further inspection, most all of the things that I had organized in my old panels on my seller hub page, had been scattered at the toip among the aforementioned stuff I rarely used and in a long list of links to the side og ythe now Empty panels!

So my well organized "seller hub" page now suffers from what I like to call incomprehensible "SHIT SCATTERED ALL OVER syndrome" a& I am still furious at Ebay's hubris; it's  hugely disrespectful, unnecessary (because it worked fine before), not to mention idiotic and unbusinesslike exercise of it's authority over MY EFFING page.

The Gall! yes as owner of the website, eBay t]has the right to totally disrupt my work flow, my "my Ebay" as they see fit anytime the see fit as much or as little as they see fit!

The catch is that being able to legally do so IS NOT THE SAME as having moral and ethical authority to do so. But since Capitalism is notorious for having no motives or considerations except profit, that's not the case.

But I contend that capitalism and ebay are so effing brain dead that indeed, changing its sellers' work interface to the point that we cannot continue our work on or  seller hub pages, which IS is the basis for Ebay's capitalist profit, then doing so  EVEN violates the single capitalist principal of profit and indicates the sheer stupidity and hubris of the people who made the decision to eff up our seller hub pages.

in fact, one thing could be done but never will be for Ebay to NOT be supremely disrespectful, counterproductive  and stupid like it always invariably is: CEO Jamie Iannone (admittedly I don't know him/her so I don't know if he/she is smart enough to get this or not) should FIRE all the idiots involved in #FZUBARing my seller page, saving $100s K& invest the savings in the salaries & benefits  in employees that actually contribute something positive to the seller experience on the platform

I can go on for days with specific examples  about the half arsed software programming we are inundated with. But let me give just one example and a couple of conclusions preceding:

#1 They write software riddled with "bugs" and "glitches", Then they cause even more problems "fixing" their bugs and glitches that is the result of the mistakes that they've gotten the public to accept as inadvertent "bugs" & "glitches" as if acts of God and not a result of their incompetence, you know, like it is for VIRTUALLY EVERY OTHER job and profession except prostitution.

And then AND THEN, THEN THEY GET PAID TO FIX THE "GLITCHES" they put in the software just prior to introducing EVEN MORE! In my normal job, SOMEBODY ELSE  gets paid to fix my F-ups while I am sent down the road.
#3 but that's not the end of it. They get to self justify, perpetuate their jobs effing sh** up by making "new and improved" versions of the software. Eventually, doing so spells the demise of the software because it doesn't even actually work anymore.

On websites, like Ebay, for example this never ending quest for the "new and imp-roved" webpage interfaces results in situations such as a 21 year member in a rush  to print a label for a sale before leaving for work in the morning having to stop and figure out the totally new interface and/or the new interface not even working or old ones not working for the first time. 

I have suffered both phenomenon in software utilities and web sites many times in over over the years and it all comes sown to one thing: Software programming is the only professionals besides prostitutes and doctors allowed to continually f-up and not only still get paid, but keep their jobs and Only prostitutes, who's job it often is to literally F-up even might face arrest prosecution.

Well, actually , In America, there is another group of  professions, in which one can not only f-Up royally and still get handsomely rewarded, but actually plan  purposeful do grievous harm up to and including MURDER and get away with it: being upper management of a large corporation.

 Can we get a big "Huzzah" from PG&E execs, none of which faced ANY penalties when PG&E was found feloniously responsible for the deaths of over 80 people in wildfires that wiped out entire towns.

eBay scams 22% fees from Ebay Motors users

A friend of mine just told me went to list on eBay Motors a $750 parts car with a good title but stopped because eBay charges so much.

She said  eBay was charging her up front to list a $750 car in a no frills listing for 21 days eBay Motors was  $40! So she balked and called to confirm what she was seeing because she doesn't even pay listing fees for anything else she puts up elsewhere on eBay and if she uses up her free listings, it's only 30 cents from then on.

So she called eBay to confirm that they were charging $40 insertion fee, she said she went ahead and checked on what the final valuation fee would be when it sold: ANOTHER $125! For a $750 sale!

So for a $750 car sale, EBay demands a horrendous $165 fee and that's not counting Paypal's  cut if it is paid for that way, she said. I'll do the simple math for readers: that's a 22% fee from Ebay alone. With Paypal fees it would be nearly a third of a car seller's sale income!

Ebay and Paypal ripped me off

WARNING ripoff eBay cancelled a purchase I made because of problems with seller but didn't refund my paypal payment!!!

They told me to do it instead. But I couldn't and when I called they wouldn't, said they couldn't file it either. I was transferred several times, assured that I would be helped by "specialists" and never was finally after hours on the phone I hung up. while on the phone they also kept telling me the lie that my account's coverage under the eBay buyer protection program has been suspended was  the reason why, but it isn't. I asked for details about that and they refused to tell me why I would or could be suspended. My account is not suspended and I just used the return process for 2 other transaction from bogus eBay sellers selling misrepresented junk.
 so then   i tried to dispute the transaction on Paypal online and couldn't. it gave me an "unknown error" and I have written Paypal as well about the issue and only got back that I should file a case with eBay!!!

BIG HELP! NEITHER COMPANY IS TRUSTWORTHY

Update: Paypal finally opened a case for this for me. it's been escalated to Paypal and I am awaiting notice of a refund.

and I am not suspended from the Ebay buyer protection program because I am still using it . That was apparently just BS from A LOT of Ebay lackeys on the phone that day and apparently only applied to the one item above. So I think what happened at Ebay bears repeating in all caps: 

EBAY CANCELLED 2 ITEMS (i was able to get refunded at Paypal for one transaction which was still unclaimed) I HAD BOUGHT AND PAID FOR, THEY SAID BECAUSE THE SELLER"S ACCOUNT HAD BEEN COMPROMISED AND TOLD ME IF I HAD PAID FOR THEM ALL READY TO OPEN EBAY CASES TO GET MY MONEY BACK. BUT WHEN I TRIED<, I COULD NOT OPEN CASES AND EBAY SAID on the phone  I COULDN'T AND NEITHER COULD THEY  BECAUSE I WAS SUSPENDED FROM THE BUYER PROTECTION PROGRAM EBAY  HAD TOLD ME IN EMAIL TO USE TO GET MY MONEY BACK FOR THE TRANSACTIONS I HAD PAID FOR THAT THEY CANCELLED!!!!!!!!!!
