The Apple of My Iphone, Google My Heart at Wounded Screen & Amazon Women in the Avocado Jungle of Bytes

Regarding all Android tablets and their forebearer, the Iphone. Everybody else is like "oooh ahhhh" like all this  is the cat's pajamas (or meow or bark for cross-calling aficionados). They argue with me and ignore and over talk me, defending the crap like I'm a KU Klux Klan picketer  at a gathering of gay, wheelchair-bound black women mid-level executives making half the pay of their white male counterparts or condemning their religion. Indeed for the average jerkwad, criticizing Google is the same or worse as a personal attack on them and their families.

So this criticism is for all Android based tablets which apparently I find extremely less wonderful than most less discerning, less demanding consumers who invariably argue with me and defend this garbage and ultimately refuse to listen or acknowledge my experience as if their life depends on them blindly defending corporations and their products at all costs.

Apple (at least the phones), Google and Amazon (both Android) all  copies of each other with the same shortcomings which derive from their unbridled greed to corral and control consumer spending within their respective digital domains via their devices

For instance, THERE IS STILL NOT A FORWARD BUTTON on Lollipop  like is found on ALL PCs and PC internet browsers since the beginning of multi-color windowed GUIs and I ask WTFudge  is up with that? Well this is what is up: It is the ultimate proof of this Android and Apple crap is 1st foremost devised to imprison our electronic lives and  make these corporations tons of money.

My Mom's Galaxy 3 DIDN'T even come with an internet browser! To get on the internet with it, one had to go through the Google search app! Then I tried to download a browser for it for her and clicked on a bogus link for Firefox that automatically started downloading something and charging my moms phone account. And I couldn't find any settings to change the behavior, nor could I ever locate where her pictures were stored EVEN when I took her SD card out and connected it to my PC!

Finally, at Lollipop version, control over the apps and access to meaningful settings is available, but the other shortcomings still remain.

And DON'T EVEN  believe the claims about sharing all your stuff with your tablet, that's from it, but not to it. If i connect the Amazon tablet to my computer,  all I can get off it are pictures &I can't transfer anything to it that way like I could with a computer! And the transfer methods they provide don't seem to work, such as the various "clouds".

From my friend: "yes, I have an HP tablet and an iPad. they don't communicate with each other at all, and they are useless to me to transfer from computer to ipad or vice versa"

With all the vaunted self promoted clouds I've tried, It takes like days and days and then  to upload 8 gigs of music and then days and days of being tied up to download it making the operation unfeasible. I tried the Windows Cloud and amazingly there is no pause and if I stop it, there is no continuing it. So I cannot get my music from my PC to my tablet. I have my music on my PC in Itunes, but on my tablet I cannot get Itunes. I cannot bank with my tablet because there is not an Amazon app from my bank. Amazon and Apple are all copied versions of each other creating the ultimate walled (for profit) gardens for themselves instead of being the a usable, customer friendly device like they all advertise.

Original review of $50 Amazon tablet:

As they said, how can you go wrong with a $50 tablet? Well one thing is to get rid of advertising screens, they want $15 more. Do the ads bother me much. No they don't. So it's worth the $15 savings. One thing though, forget Goggle Play apps. With it's tablets, Amazon uses a heavily modified android operating system that eliminates EVERYTHING Google and replaces it with Amazon versions. So ,like Google and Apple before it, Amazon, with it's tablets, seeks to corral users in a walled garden reminiscent of the old America On Line (AOL) but on steroids& make money every single time we click on anything on the tablet with a total, Amazon experience with email, a play store, etc. But you can access your gmail on it from the Silk browser. Overall good performance for the money, no complaints, except, personally, I got it specifically for depositing pay checks in my bank account, which doesn't have an Amazon version of it's app. So since I cold not deposit my checks with it, I initiated a return, got a refund and was not required to return the tablet and so wound up getting it for free. The reason I put on the form  for the refund (it could be anything) was  "doesn't have the google play store." it is claimed on the internet that one can hack the tablets and get google play, but I tried it and google play installed but doesn't start. So don't get this tablet if you absolutely have to have Google Play (like I did). But if you are happy with the offerings in the Amazon store, you can't beat this little tablet for $50. and you can increase it's storage by up to 128 GB with a micro SD card. The Android operating systems are finally (after many years, I point out) getting semi-usable as well with control over and abiltiy to uninstall applications. I used to loath Android.
