"common sense, no brainer solution to immigration", or "what, "Congress work and pass sensible laws? No way!"

Attacking President Trump like this is refusing yet again to do the job elected and appointed officials were sent to do. We didn't send them to there to fight and bicker and vilify each other. But that is all they seem willing to do.

This is what they should be doing: Every criminal illegal alien whether having committed the crimes here or in their countries should be rounded up and deported. Anybody with any type of direct ties to known terrorist organizations should be arrested, jailed investigated, charged with applicable crimes, tried and deported. So the snooping in to our personal communications is a necessary evil if we want our government to protect us from this threat. if not, then the snooping should stop. To me, that sounds A LOT like what President Trump is attempting to do, albeit with flaws.

      Anybody who is here now illegally and is working and/or going to school and has not caused trouble should be identified and have the chance to stay here and fulfill their dreams, including and especially children. Anybody who is not working or going to school (productive) should be given a grace period to do so and then deported if they don't find work. This of course excludes people unable to care for themselves because of physical impairment. When I say "work", I mean legal, on the books work abiding by all wage and tax laws. They are here now so let them work on a productive, law abiding job and put the criminal assholes out of business that take advantage of their illegal status.

    Finally, there should be no such thing as a "sanctuary" anything for anybody coming to this country. That's the same as me harboring a fugitive. if my brother was a fugitive from justice and i harbored him, I would be arrested and so should they be. But the laws making them that should be fair and just. a kid found to this country should be protected just like our own, as long as they are not juvenile delinquents. But any adult that smuggled them here should face charges and deportation.

In other words, assimilate those who are here and productive. Deport the rest and close the borders and don't let anybody in that poses a danger to the citizens and property of this country and watch the ones we let in until thy achieve citizenship.keep the path to citizenship a true test of loyalty and knowledge of this country and it's traditions.

This should have been happening all along and the reason it hasn't been, the reason so much of our infrastructure and society is crumbling has one cause: a lazy, crooked legilative body that caters to special interests wanting favorable laws, be they corporate or social ones. Congress is in charge of passing laws to provide an environment where we can prosper by our own initiative and be safe while doing so. They are even indirectly  charge of enforcing laws, because if the executive branch fails to enforce the laws, they can enact laws and fund initiatives to see that they start doing so. But they have not done so, which has led to the current immigration brouhaha.

Now we have an executive branch that is trying to enforce the laws, albeit imperfectly and we have the Congress and a bunch of people opposing him. This is a disgrace. For Pete Sakes Trump is trying to do something for a change! He's actually working and doing his job! He should be universally praised for this and it is the duty of ALL members of Congress and the courts to counsel and help shape what he is doing instead of attacking. But I bet they don't because vilifying and attacking President Trump is a much easier thing to do, it requires little effort but the flapping of jaws.
