Dashcare.com Dashcare negative product/custom,er service review

My Dashcare dash cover for my 1978 Ford F-100 Truck  leaves several square inches of my padded dash exposed to sunlight. There's an ill placed notch in each end right on top of instead of behind, or not at all,the dash pad  that admittedly is shown in the product picture.

I inquired about a return and  they'll charge 10% restocking fee& return shipping, they said. That would be a fine 4 A product I'm not happy because I didn't like the color. But this is a design complaint that I could not foresee until I got the product and try to install it because the vendor fails to show the product installed in a 1978 Ford F-100 truck (or any other model) on the sales page, which makes the return charges  unacceptable to me.

I don't blame them for not showing adequate product performance pictures that would reveal the poor design of Dashcare's product(s).

they have several options to remedy this issue and they've taken the obvious cheapest route possible: keep selling it and discouraging people from returning it with financial disincentive to do so.

A fairly uncostly, better alternative, from the stand point of product reputation, of course, would be simply to move or remove the notches. in fact I have one from Amazon right now without the notches that does a better job of covering my dash.

An ineffective, costly third alternative would be to provide detailed descriptive product pictures and graphics. Instead, this company chooses the one capitalists always do, not only the perceived cheapest solution, but the one that benefits them in the short run for the most profit. Typical capitalists serving no one but themselves, they think.
