Ruger LCP Max purse guns all shoot 4" low because of stupid Ruger Pet Tricks!

Beyond the much higher extended mag capacity, 12+1 .380 auto Vs. 7+1 for the previous models, there are a few significant design and function improvements over all the previous LCP models as well as a couple bad holdovers,

Design & functionality:
FINALLY, after like 10,000 years of the same old same old, sort of like changing the tip of a carbon fiber arrow shaft from stone to modern alloy steel, Ruger has upgraded the grip serrations on the Max with wider grooves & narrower lands and a slight flange on the very rear of the slide, providing a vastly improved slide grip.

The grip is a teeny bit wider than previous models & well worth the increased width to accommodate a double stack mag and make the grip better.

Function:
The ease of chambering a single round and ejection are noticeably improved. Even the hand racking feels like that action is improved, more positive. There is also tiny staubs on the inside back of the trigger guard to limit travel after the break.
The shape of the slide catch has been improved and is easier to engage.

And of course the trigger pull is vastly improved: the take-up is free to a solid wall at the "break"(simulated: explained later). There is a slight amount of creep in the "break", but there is a consistent break in this 1 that's fairly stiff at first but nothing that at least 1,000 dry fires didn't smooth out & significantly improve.

There's also even a tiny click on reset which is less than 1/4" in front of the travel stop.

The previous model LCP triggers had none of these features. They were just one long pull, no wall, no break when the hammer dropped and all the way back to the far far front for the reset.

The way Ruger accomplished the improvement apparently is by reducing the amount of hammer cock done by pulling the trigger. Most of the hammer cocking, approximately 3/4s of it, on the LCP's wasn't done by the slide coming back, but rather with the trigger pull.

I estimate that  the amount of hammer cocking  left for the Max trigger pull to accomplish is only about 1/8, which is at the break. So the "break" is actually not that, but the final cock stage of the trigger before it falls. I assure everyone reading this that it does a pretty darn good job of simulating a trigger break that is only a tiny bit more mushy that a Glock gen 5 stock trigger, which has creep in it, unlike previous generations.

Plus, working the Max trigger in with thousands of dry fires using a snap cap does wonders for the feel of the trigger hand racking.
Regarding the arduous task of dry firing a hammer fired pistol using snap caps: yes they are necessary because if you don't use then, you will snap off the hammer (BTDT).  But the good news is that just a few times loading snap caps in the mag and firing and reloading them, I found that I could, with an empty mag inserted, repeatedly rack just far enough back to reset the trigger but not eject the cap, which made it far easier and faster to perform thousands of dry fires from the clip(BTDT with my previous LCPs).

But nothing is perfect &the Max still needs improvement, some of which I was able to accomplish myself. These are the still somewhat significant flaws (and IMO some holdover stupidity) still remaining on the Max with the trigger, and the sights: Sights strangely, both the front and rear sights are drift adjustable, but not elevation adjustable. Familiar firearms users like me see that and ask "WTF for does this thing shoot so wildly that it needs duplicate windage adjustability?"

Stupid sight tricks:
Ruger is still putting useless 1-dot front trit night "sight", AS IF 1 dot was all it takes for a 2 element sight system to work at night. The good news is that the rear sight is long enough and wide enough to drill as big as a 1/8" holes in and put vials in the rear.

Worse than that, I found out after taking it to the range, that at 21 feet, target impact is 4 inches low & the LCP max like most modern pistols, doesn't have any elevation adjustment (but it has front and back drift type windage adjustment!) So I complained to Ruger and sent the gun in to check out the issue.  But they wouldn't test fire it because of my trigger modifications,. Instead the sent me a new complete slide and barrel, which shoots even lower!

So I determined what the problem is and fixed it myself. The Ruger idiots put the same height front and rear sights on a slide that rises in height at the front ,so that the front sight is too tall, resulting in the 4" low strikes. There's a lot of complaints on the internet about the LCP max shooting very lows .

I corrected the problem by adding to the height of the rear sight (because the front sight would have to be filed half way down to make it the correct height) with JB Weld. The amount I had to add is a solid 1/16 "!

To isntal trit vials (as i did) in the back to make the front one useable, You need a carbide bit to drill into the hard steel that the sights are made of, The bit size should be precise to snugly fit whatever vials you have in a white or silver lined can of some kind for reflection. Ruger should quit being stupid & cheap & either eliminate the 1-night-dot altogether & quit insulting my intelligence or or put 3 in.

 Trigger
The addition of a break and a reset, while a vast improvement, happens to be the ONLY improvement to the trigger, which leaves at least 2 flaws that shouldn't be: The trigger is curved for tiny fingers. For reference The Glock OEM trigger i finds to be the perfect curve and corner slopes for tiny and large fingers alike. But the Max trigger has a lot of curve on the top, less on the bottom and is well short of the trigger guard & with less bevel on the corners, making it uncomfortable and tending to push my finger to the bottom of the trigger and down onto the guard. The extra curve is in the top to accomodate a front facing safety return spring, which tends to push one's finger to the bottom of the trigger where it is flatter and maybe even onto the inside of the guard if one's fingers are bigger.

I understand that the design and mount of the trigger requires a front facing spring, so Ruger should beef up the depth of the trigger below the spring in order to make the curve shallower and it should be widened a bit and the corners rounded more to resemble a Glock trigger.

But there is mo Max trigger trash talk I need to convey: The take-up is ridiculously and it turns out totally unnecessarily long, like 3/8". I fixed it by adding material to the frame in the pocket in front of the the trigger base and limiting the take-up to about 1/8" while not harming the functioning of the firearm, which proves my point that this enormous take-up length is absurd, unnecessary, thoughtless, irritating and nearly as insulting to my intelligence as the 1 dot trit sight.

I also rounded the corners more and even added material to the front tip of the trigger to make it longer. So the Max trigger seems to be Ruger's take on the trendy BS with flat face triggers & stupid useless 1 dot sights must  appeal to square fingered, blockhead Millenials that don't have a clue, can't shoot, don't get laid and are enticed by the latest fashion trends in firearms.

I imagine that they are the ones I've heard that refer to going to the range as "having Loads of fun" and call shotguns "shotties". Personally, I go the range to practice and check the functionality and sighting of my firearms including SHOTGUNS (yes I have the energy to say outloud the entire word rather than following other ppl who can't string whole sentences and words together), which if everything works out, is something I enjoy.
But I typically only have "loads" of fun during sex.

America's 3 Tiered Justice Sytem Explained

United States has a 3-tiered justice system

Tier #3 is for the lower. no, & middle income ppl who get arrested & imprisoned for everything except being poisoned by the air we breathe, the food we eat & the water we drink, paying taxes& getting sick & dying, broke.

#2 is for rich people who only get arrested & imprisoned for doing stuff 2 other rich people. RE: Hunter Biden, Joe BIden, while extorting millions from foreign governments, didn't even get a knock on the door by the FBI.

By contrast ,Trump pretty much did the same thing Biden did in Ukraine except he didn't extort millions from a Ukrainian businessman like the Bidens AND GETS IMPEACHED FOR TRYING TO GET THE BIDEN'S foreign influence peddling schemes INVESTIGATED!

#1 Are the real bosses: Corporate Executives whoget to poison & kill their customers with their products and byproducts, with complete & everlasting impunity, just to save money for their shareholder while leaving "smoking gun" evidence on in Emails detailing their schemes, al la #GM #PG&E #Monsanto #Dupont & never even get arraigned in any court!

While on the floor of a big chemical company like Dupont, hypothetically (but it's probably happened) if there is a safety accident, whether or not somebody gets hurt, a worker found to be at fault gets fired and faces stiff fines from OSHA and even imprisonment.

#GODBLESSAMERICA!

bad experience with an order at Jegs.com

This is the negative feedback I just emailed in a response to a Jegs customer service rep who cancelled my order for me:

"thank you Mr. xxxx.

Please verify that my money has been refunded. Also note my unhappiness with the fact that my account was charged for an item that was out of stock and would not have been shipped for 30=45 days. The reason I am unhappy with this is because in every other backorder situation, every other online company I have ever dealt with did not charge me for the item until it was actually back in stock and being shipped and none of them EVER took 30-45 days.

Also no mention when I purchased was made about this being a drop ship item or it being out of stock. I also did not get an emailed order confirmation and had to get on the chat line and ask for one to be sent to me. Also the wait time on the chat and the phone is inordinately high to the point that it seems that jegs specializes in "wait" more than anything else.

So today I found the same fitment radiator in brass for more money at Jegg's rival Summit. I called them up to verify the radiator was in stock, which was answered with 0 hold time and I ordered over the phone in 5 minutes and my radiator will be here in 2-3 days the man said.

While on chat hold to cancel my order with Jegs I clicked the feedback tab to leave negative feedback along the lines of the information above and couldn't send it after I took the time to fill all the fields out properly. Like I said, it seems like the only thing Jegs is in the business of providing is "wait".

Needless to say, this was the first and list time I'll ever do business with Jegs. and this email is going in my blog right now."

Just 2 Ways Nikon USA and it's products SUCK

My Post on NIkon USA's Facebook page:

Let me tell you hacks about 1 of the MANY design brain farts in the D800 that makes me want to pull my effing hair out: It's easier, much faster, more reliable & more accurate to use the view finder instead of the screen to compose shots. But as you incompetent asshats know, every shot I take results in the display displaying the last shot it for at least 2 sec. AND I CAN'T SHUT IT OFF.

& if I use the selection dial to reposition the focus square in the viewfinder, which I often do as I'm composing and shooting shots rapidly, and forget to WAIT THE 2 EFFING SEC, for the display to shut off again, instead of moving the focal point, IT STARTS SCROLLING THROUGH THE FRIGGING ROLL! And when that happens, THE TWO SECONDS IS OUT THE WINDOW and I have to shut live view on and off again to make it go away in a timely fashion and reposition my focal point!

As if that's not enough, recently this POS started having a blacked and growing area at the bottom of the picture and I can't update the firmware because the update Doesn't Work With Windows 10,even with the useless "Compatibility Wizard" which has NEVER worked for any program in any Windows PC I have ever owned.

To get the black area to go away or not interfere I did 2 things: #1 use only the good top half of the screen for compositions #2 repeatedly factory resetting the stetting's. #3 using the viewfinder doesn't seem to invoke the problem.

I also opened a ticket with this shitty website for help with that, and like a month later got a a reply asking about any errors reported (none), my reply, another question, my answer, THEN NOTHING! Haven't heard from that asshat since in like a frigging month., Can we say Nikon Sucks, children? Why yes we can! Again with a loud 'F**K"', NIKON F***ING SUCKS!"

auction site gunauction.com new user negative experiences

LIke all FAQ pages, gunauction.com's sucks because the questions I have are never covered with any of them.

But unique to gunbroker.com, There's only one unique way to get "support", which is by texting its "New support Desk", which apparently is never answered, at least they haven't  twice for me.

Now, One of the 4 firearms I had up for auction got a bid and the winner isn't responding.  So I started looking into getting a refund for the final valuation and find this unheard of (well except with cancelled airline tickets ) fraudulent policy :

"A Relist Credit is a credit issued to your account at GunAuction.com when the winning bidder did not complete the auction. Relist Credits are for use with future sales at GunAuction.com and Relist Credits ARE NOT credited back to your credit card under any circumstances."

1 small problemo with that airlinesque policy: just as  I'm never doing business with JetBlue ever again, Nor am I with gunauction.com

I just got a 1st response from the "new text based support center" after 3 tries with 3 different issues and ONLY AFTER I cursed them out. Then the anonymous person responding didn't answer all my questions. When I pointed out that he/she didn't, I got no further response.

Apparently this is 1` of the oldest online firearms auction sites dating back to 1998 by one account. I've seen several references to it formerly being "auctionarms.com"

Graphically, I think I like it because it still has the old school page layout of the 1990s a la Craig's List. It takes some getting used to after using wasteful (Iin terms of huge space on the each screen)n, needlessly changed and supposedly "improved" modern websites.

But i found everything I needed to start my first auction so my only issue really is with the fraudulent final valuation refund policy, which even though it has had many fraudulent practices over the years and been sued for most of them, Ebay never ever dared pulled such fraudulent crap as not issuing a refund for fees it charged for an sale that was never paid like gunauction.com (and airlines) does.

That fraud, the fact that it took me 3 times and cursing to get an inadequate response out of it's "Help Desk" and that I could never ever find any answers to on the FaQ page for the issues I was having ,all leave a bad taste in my mouth and no desire to do business on or with this site ever again.

cuz as they say, there's "plenty of fish in the sea" so it's no biggy to cut this one loose and catch another bigger, better one.

So I just got another reply from the "help desk" and the anonymous person said he/she is issuing a "$50 credit taht should more than cover" the final valuation fees.

I replied "a $50 credit rather than a reimbursement is worthless to somebody (me) who is never going to do business on this site with this inherently fraudulent policy ever again."

this gunacution.com unethical "credit" scheme  effectively is "gunauction.com has an unethical (because it's totally fake) fee credit scam instead of actual fee reimbursement that we collected from  unpaid auctions simply because we can, it's profitable for us  & not coincidentally, frankly, we don't give a rat's ass about our sellers after we've scammed money out of you, Duh!"

or in shorthand "it's just business!"

honest owner review of Black Aces Tactical FD12 bullpup 12 gauge shotgun garbage & RIA VRBP100

Wanting a 12 gauge bullpup, I made the mistake of jumping on a Black Aces Tactical FD12 when I saw it for $300. Since then the price now has come down even further at Palmetto State Armory further, which is about 50% of the original price which should tip off  anyone with 2 brain cells to rub together regarding the "quality"of this "weapon"of self destruction.

A more pleasant subject:

I recently paid about $450 w/tax for a demo, in-the-box with all accessories, Rock Island Armory imported VRBP100 and am completely & utterly ecstatic with it's comfortableness to shoot & performance.

& here isn't much more to add about it, except even more praise. It's a extremely well handling, very reliable, smooth to shoot, light of kick 12 gauge shotgun with a nice, crisp (but a bit heavy) trigger break with very little takeup which I plan to break in here shortly with 100s of dry firings.

Moving on to the FD12 "Shotty" (which is apparently what follower millennials & zoomers call shotguns these days in order to be fly, rad, bad, good, cool or WTFever. They also refer to going to the range & shooting as "having loads of fun" to which I respond "Typically I only get 'loads of fun' during sex, myself")

When all was said and done, , with fees & taxes this giant, likely very uncomfortable buttplug cost me about $400. (my bottom hurts just thinking about it)

After a couple boxes of rounds, it is no longer operational in semiautomatic. things that have went horrible wrong with this almost brand new "weapon"

#1 it doesn't chamber any rounds anymore! I finally found the reason why not is       that the firing pin easily slides forward out of the face of the face of the                 bolt when it is feeding and going into battery, which traps the back of the             shell under the firing pin and keeps it from rising and feeding. to unjam it             one has to pull back on the bolt slightly and release the back of the shell.             And it's not an issue of the firing pin being stuck because the more I                     cleaned and lubed it, the worse it got. Only a very slightly declined barrel             will result in the firing pin sliding out and trapping the back of the shell.

#2 the bolt and magazine catch levers have become stiff and almost impossible          to engage or disengage even when cleaned and lubed. cleaning and lubing            them makes them work properly  for an average total of MAYBE twice, before        they go back to being stiff and  very hard to engage and disengage.

#3 admittedly if the firing pin isn't sticking out, it cycles like a dream.

I just shot 20 rapid fire short brass 2.75"n shells out of an RIA VRBP-100, (which is cosmetically infinitely better looking than the FD12 monstrosity)which all ready had had about 20 flawless shells through it and recommend the Rock Island Armory import model.

it's obvious that BAT has spent lots of money under the table to "reviewers" all over the internet to lie say that the FD12 in quality ranks up with AND EVEN OVER in some reviews, the IWI Tavor TS12  in quality and value! It's total Bull Shit and I want to get the word out  that one is wasting one's money and perhaps safety (like I did) if one believes the hype and wastes her/his one of these FD12 turkeys.
